1989- uncovered by Severn-Trent

In 1989, Severn Trent layed a new pipeline across the park, from near the Abbey Hill / Rosemary Hill corner, diagonally north-westwards.

Near the swimming pool some stonework was discovered just below the surface; it was flooring and walls most probably of a workshop of some type.

The KHAS became involved and Irene Potter wrote up an account, published in Kenilworth History 1990:                       Severn Trent 1989
